I will admit it. I am obsessed with Twilight. I remember seeing all the movies when they came out in theaters when I was a teenager, but I wasn't necessarily sucked in. When the movies series came to Netflix in recent years, I had my husband watch them with me and we both became equally engrossed. For some reason it took until I was an adult to truly appreciate the fantasy world of Twilight but I'm glad I finally came around. After binging the movies, we both went on to read all of the books, including Midnight Sun. I've also listened to Ashley Greene (Alice)'s podcast The Twilight Effect. And now every year around Thanksgiving we rewatch the movies (it's the time of year we first watched them so now it's just a tradition I guess?) There's so much to love about Twilight from the fantasy world to the characters to the cool setting and the movies just bring it all to life in such a cool way. So this summer when Andrew and I were visiting his side of the family near Seattle we knew we had to make a Twilight day in Forks happen.
Summer in Washington state is actually beautiful - fairly cooler, think 70 degrees everyday, breezy, not really humid at all and not rainy. According to our relatives it rains literally the entire rest of the year but not much in summer. I was glad we had such beautiful weather but part of me wanted to experience the rainy twilight weather haha. Maybe another time.
Forever Twilight Gallery
First up, we drove straight to Forks to the Rainforest Art Center where they have a specific Gallery for Twilight costumes and props and they have quite the collection. You sign up for a spot and come back at your reserved time. While we were waiting we went across the street to the local shop that sells a lot of Twilight stuff and we ended up getting two posters. The tour is in a pretty small room and you get about 15 minutes to look through everything, but it was so cool to see everything right there in front of you. Highly recommend if you are a fan. Also, yes they have the creepy Renesmee doll.

Sully's Burgers
We were pretty hungry after that, so we decided to stop by Sully's Burgers right down the street. They have some Twilight themed options - Bella's burger, a Twilight punch. Really good food. I ate it so quickly I didn't get a picture.
Hoh Rainforest
Next up we drove to Hoh Rainforest. This really gives you all the vibes of Edward and Bella in the rainforest. We fully intended on getting all the way into the forest, parking and doing a hike, but the rainforest parking lot was already full and we were on a tight schedule so we decided to skip the hike. But honestly driving through the rainforest gave me everything I hoped for and was beautiful in and of itself.

La Push Beach
Of course we had to go to La Push Beach and it did not disappoint. There's actually three beaches and we went to the first one. I don't even have much to say except that I felt like I was in the movie and I could totally picture the characters jumping off the rocky cliffs into the water.

Bella Italia in Port Angeles
Driving back home we obviously had to stop in Port Angeles. We had reservations for Bella Italia where we went for dinner and got, you guessed it, mushroom ravioli.

After that we drove the rest of the way back to our Air Bnb listening to the Twilight movie soundtrack. It is so fun to have a series like this you care about and to go on a real life tour, and it's even more sweet when the person you love cares equally as much about it. It was one of my favorite dates we ever went on and was honestly just the most perfect day. If you're a fan and find yourself in Washington state, it's worth it to see everything! Even if you're not a Twilight fan, if there's something you care a lot about, whether it's a book or movie I encourage you if possible to go and explore as much as you can in the real world.
